Exercise 19: A Single Figure Small

 

The title really sums up the goal for this exercise, too produce an image where a single figure is small within the frame.

 

A Nikon D800 camera and a Nikon 24mm-70mm lens was used during this exercise.

I took this image whilst carrying out some photography for another assignment in London and I knew I had to use the location to complete it. I waited around fifteen minutes for the single gentleman to walk towards me, off centre. The composition helps the image fulfil its goal and provides scale.

Exercise 20: Busy Traffic

 

This exercise required you to choose a busy location, interior or exterior, with a constant flow of traffic.

 

A Nikon D800 camera and a Nikon 24mm-70mm lens were used during this exercise.

I took this image whilst carrying out some photography for another assignment in London and again this location was ideal to complete this exercise. I took up a location on the upper level of the station so I could capture the flow of people moving about the station with a wider composition. I had to take the image handheld, as tripods are not allowed in the station without approval and never on the platforms.
